MCAD Professional Practice Illustration joined forces with Minnesota Hockey and created posters for the March 2012 High School Hockey Tournament.

MCAD received 13 awards from the 2012 Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles student competition!  The work was selected from over 1400 entries and the jury included Tim Ramos - Art Director, Disney Studios Home Entertainment + Michael Humphries - Art Director, Background Artist, Disney Feature Animation & Instructor, Art Center College of Design.

MCAD illustration students received 17 awards from the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles in 2010. The work was juried from over 1600 entries and the jury included David Saylor, Creative Director Scholastic/Graphix and Nate Wragg, Illustrator of Pixar and Dreamworks .

MCAD received four awards from the New York Society of Illustrators in their 2011 Student Scholarship competition. Congratulations to Mary Nelson, Alexa Thoen and Teagan White. Mary Nelson was awarded the $1,000 Lewis Charles scholarship for her illustration “ Snow Geese and Smoke Stacks”.
